has openings for talented Brass and Percussion players
interested in performing with Southeastern Wisconsin’s premier
Brass Band.

School Juniors or Seniors.

Modeled on a traditional British Brass Band the
band uses the following instrumentation:
 | 1 Eb Soprano Cornet (or Piccolo Trumpet)

 | 9 or more Bb Cornets (or Bb Trumpet)
|
 | 1 or 2 Bb Flugel Horns |
 | 3 Eb Tenor (Alto) Horns (or French Horn)
|
 | 2 Bb Baritone Horns |
 | 2 Bb Euphoniums |
 | 3 Bb Trombones |
 | 1 Bass Trombone |
 | 2 Eb Tubas |
 | 3 BBb Tubas |
 | 3 or 4 Percussionists (Drum Set, Tympani,
etc.) |
The band performs a wide variety
of literature from Classical to Jazz to original works for Brass
Band, providing entertainment for its audiences while challenging
the musical skills of its members. The concert season includes a
subscription series, benefit concerts as well as appearances at a
number of brass band and ethnic festivals.
The group was founded in 1985 as
the Milwaukee British Brass Band and has appeared as
the Festival City Brass and since 2002 as
Milwaukee Festival Brass. The band is a
registered member of the North American Brass Band
Association ( NABBA ) |
