Welcome to Milwaukee Festival Brass!
The Milwaukee Festival
Brass is a 30 piece all brass ensemble using the traditional British
Brass Band formation and sound. The Band was formed in 1985 and features
some of the area’s most capable brass players, teachers and students
as its members. Today, under the leadership of Dr. Patricia Backhaus,
the Band performs regularly throughout the Milwaukee metro area and runs
a six concert season.
The
Band is a state of Wisconsin registered 501(C)3 non-profit organization
as well as a 509(A)2 Public Charity and is run by a member elected Board of Directors.
Mission Statement
The Milwaukee Festival Brass is
dedicated to developing and maintaining a successful brass band of the
highest possible musical quality. As a nationally recognized
organization, we will strive to satisfy the musical ideals of our
members while simultaneously nurturing audience awareness and
developing community support.

Youth Group
MFB is pleased to
announce a new brass band just for students. Milwaukee Festival
Youth Brass is designed for young brass & percussion players to
learn the art of brass banding. Under the leadership of Dr. Patricia
Backhaus the group begins rehearsals in the fall of 2009.
